Changes to 2016 New Cars

When it comes to the future of our vehicles, auto manufacturers are trying to make the interior of the vehicle have all the amenities of our own home and business. When it comes to the vehicle itself we are seeing more technological assists. These driver aids go from the basic traction control to a parking assist even in entry level models. With the multi-media computers we are seeing higher processing power as well as interconnecting cloud systems allowing you to share your home, mobile and business media with your vehicle therefore all your music, videos, and all around data can be accessed more easily.


In 2016 New Cars we will see more dual powertrain systems in the mass market such as the diesel-hybrid drive. Companies such as Renault are working on air compression systems that scavenge energy from braking. With auto manufacturers releasing their engineers in order to up the miles-per-gallon for their vehicles means that we are going to see more effort to make the most efficient vehicles. As efficiency is becoming a main selling point for cars means that more effort will also go to the weight as well as aerodynamics of a vehicle. Gaps as well as hard angles are being closed and slanted back in order to lower the drag coefficient of the vehicle. This in conjunction with other applications such as vented grills and less air pockets and underside body panels are all helping to give these vehicles better fuel efficiency. And last you have the overall weight of the vehicle. Auto manufacturers are using their latest in computing technology and their greatest minds in order to build safer vehicles while using less steel and more lightweight components. These lightweight components include aluminum and carbon fiber materials in order to lighten the overall weight. Not only is the structure of the car getting lighter and aerodynamic but powertrain parts are losing weight as well. By replacing iron blocks and engine components with aluminum and magnesium replacements is lowering weight as well as inertia and thus helping to also increase engine efficiency. The 2016 new cars will offer more technology and efficiency that we are used to seeing and for most of us, we should be pleasantly pleased.
